Main Patient Complaint
The patient was concerned with the appearance of the upper left central and lateral incisors as well as her canine tooth. These teeth were traumatised when the patient was young and as a result became dark coupled with the fact that the patient had scrubbed her upper left central incisor with her over zealous brushing technique. Generally the rest of the upper and lower teeth had also been damaged by the patients’ grinding habit!
Solution
The patient was happy with the colour of the rest of her teeth therefore tooth whitening was only performed on the dark upper three teeth before Composite restorations were used on the rest of the dentition at the front of the mouth to restore the appearance and function of the teeth. Our cosmetic dentist developed a full treatment plan following a personalised consultation and discussion of options with the patient.

Main Patient Complaint
The concern of this patient was not only the poor appearance of his smile but also that the missing tooth was impacting on his speech. The upper right lateral incisor was missing and the upper right central incisor was not properly formed and set back in the mouth due to the cross bite in the occlusion of the patient.
Solution
The patient was not prepared to go through a lengthy course of combined surgical/ orthodontic treatment which would have corrected his bite thereby producing a more pleasing appearance with the eventual bridge work used in this case. He was also unsuitable for implant treatment due to the lack of bone support in the area of the missing tooth. Hence the treatment carried out involved using a simple cantilever bridge over both central incisors and extending to replace the missing lateral incisor. A pleasing result for the patient and another successful treatment performed by the Merton and Wimbledon cosmetic dentistry clinic.
