Cosmetic Dentistry in Merton, Morden and Wimbledon - Porcelain Crowns
Case F - Procera Porcelain Dental Crowns
Main Patient Complaint
The patient here had suffered trauma to the right central incisor tooth which was root treated but because the accident occurred when she was very young the tooth had not fully grown into position within the dental arch. In addition to that, the lateral incisors had not developed properly and were peg shaped. This meant that the natural upper left central incisor looked long within the dentition. The appearance was further worsened in the patient’s eye by the large midline gap.
Solution
After an initial course of tooth whitening, the upper right central incisor and both the lateral incisors were crowned with all porcelain “Procera™” crowns thereby closing the midline gap, enlarging the size of the peg shaped lateral incisor teeth and using the natural upper left central incisor as a guide for the new smile line! A great result and another satisfied patient for our Merton and Wimbledon cosmetic dentist serving patients from across South London.

Case Gy - Zirconia Crowns
Main Patient Complaint
The patient was concerned with the appearance of her old crown on the left upper central incisor tooth. With time many old metal ceramic crowns begin to look opaque and unrealistic. This high opacity, chalky creamy appearance often makes these crowns stand out from natural teeth.
Solution
Replacement of this crown with a natural looking all porcelain “Zirconia™” crown not only gave a great looking natural appearance but the assurance of a crown harder than natural teeth!
