Cosmetic Dentist in Merton, Wimbledon and Morden - Porcelain Crowns and Veneers
Case D - Teeth Whitening and Dental Veneers
Main Patient Complaint
The patient here complained of a fractured central incisor tooth with a large midline gap as well as peg shaped narrow lateral incisors which she was not happy with. I addition to that, the patient was also dissatisfied with the colour of her teeth generally.
Solution
An initial course of tooth whitening was prescribed for both upper and lower dental arches before cosmetic conservative porcelain veneers (Facings) were used not only to close up the gap between the upper central incisors but also to enlarge the size of the peg shaped incisors to produce a natural looking, well proportioned dentition. All of the dental work was completed following a personalised treatment consultation with our experienced South London dentist.

Case E - Porcelain Crowns
Main Patient Complaint
The patient here complained of a dark old crown margin on the upper left central incisor tooth. The crown margin was acceptable but unfortunately recession of her gum had exposed the dark root surface of this root treated tooth which has given rise to this less than pleasing appearance. In addition to this, the position of this tooth and the discoloured lateral tooth next to it was giving the patient cosmetic concerns as well as acting as a food trap.
Solution
Like for many patients that want to freshen up their smile, an initial course of tooth whitening was prescribed for both upper and lower dental arches before the old crown was replaced with a new all porcelain “Procera™” crown. The most conservative way to close up the gap between the new crown and the lateral incisor was to use “Miris2™” composite. The gap could have been closed up by making the new crown wider but it would have meant that the central incisor teeth were of different size thereby upsetting the aesthetic “Golden Proportions” of a beautiful smile.
